Fellow Lions and Friends of District 13D,
Lion Priscilla and I want to thank each and every one of you for having the confidence in me to be your District Governor for 2007-2008. I am humbled and honored to be the Governor and look forward to leading us into the Lions year full of excitement and enthusiasm. I have learned many things from the vast experience of our past leaders and hope to continue the strong tradition of leadership shown through our history. You can only learn so much from classroom and conversation. The rest must be learned by DOING. My experience as a VDG, DDG, Zone Chairman, Cabinet member and Lion President have prepared me for the duties and responsibilities that are expected by a District Governor. I welcome all of you to join with me in a remarkable journey of Service to mankind and fighting the battle to cure blindness.
My goal this year is to rekindle the practice of Service to our Communities and helping others. The worst thing a person or Lion can do is to turn their backs on someone in need. I want to teach to all our clubs that by making someone's life better each and every day we will all benefit and most importantly make a profound impact on our fellow man. By doing simple tasks of unconditional love we can change the communities we live in. Our Lions clubs are just the right source for this outpouring of Service and Love.
Thank you again for electing me your Governor and I pledge to do the very best I can to promote and follow our motto of WE SERVE.
