Lion Carl is a graduate of Eastlake North High School in Eastlake Ohio. He has attended the University of Akron and Stark State College. His working background is in Mechanical Design working in industry for 32 years. Lion Carl has been married to Lion Priscilla for 13 wonderful years.
Lion Carl started his Lion career as a member of the Canal Fulton Lions Club in Canal Fulton Ohio in 1988. He served all the positions in that club including President twice. He was honored to receive the 100% President award both times and Lion of the Year. Lion Carl transferred his membership to the Massillon Lions Club in 1999. Since that date, Lion Carl has held each office in the board and received a 100% secretary award, 100% president award and Lion of the Year. Lion Carl has had perfect attendance since 1988. Lion Carl has held offices on the District Cabinet including Zone Chairman and District Extension Chairman Region 2. Lion Carl has been fortunate to teach Zone Chairman training twice at the Spring Conference as well as seminars in the Lions Code of Ethics, Thinking out of the Box, Motivating your Clubs and what it means to be a Lion. Lion Carl continues to teach seminars at other District conventions in the State as well as State Conventions and Fall Conferences.
Lion Carl has also held State offices as Extension Chairman for MD13 and Extension Coordinator for MD13. Lion Carl has received two International President Certificates of Achievement, an International President Leadership Award, a Council of Governors Award of Merit, a Lions International Extension Award and a Council of Governor's Appreciation Award. Lion Carl has attended many District and State conventions, two International Conventions and two USA/Canada Leadership forums.
Lion Carl and his wife Lion Priscilla attend the United Methodist Church in Canal Fulton and are active in their church activities. Lion Carl volunteers at Affinity Medical Center in Massillon as a patient ambassador helping patients feel comfortable as they are being admitted for tests. Lion Carl and Lion Priscilla enjoy sports and especially baseball and Massillon football.
